Re: Rotary Un-Smartphone for Australian users

Hi Vintagemind, I have the non-N. American versions listed as beta tests only because I don't personally plan to test the phone in every region outside of my locality any time soon, so I'll be relying on user reports to be really confident the phone works, and with which carriers. The only design di...

Photo corrupt?

Andy, yes, 30A peak per motor, and the heatsink is bigger and has fins. I just updated the webpage with additional updates, too, a few days ago.

Re: Could somebody post the latest update #3 from Feb.22?

The latest (no. 3) was May, assuming that's what you mean? Pasted below sans pictures. And as this forum was meant for builders of the original version, I'll start a new forum for the RUSP now. *************** Hello Rotary Un-Smartphone customers and subscribers, I'm going to boldly quote my own tho...

Re: Un-Smart Phone US vs EU/Asia

Hi Jake, I'm going to be updating info soon, as it turns out there's a better but totally-hardware-compatible cell transceiver (the TOBY-R2 series) that I can use on the RUSP boards, and the regionality is quite different. Basically there will be just one option for N. America and one option for glo...

Re: win 10 driver near Zero

If I understand your question correctly, you'll want to have an FTDI driver installed. In my experience, in Windows 10, all you need to do is to go into the device manager and let Windows try to automatically install missing software/drivers, and then it just works. If that doesn't do it, the manual...

Re: Real paper documentation!

Yes I'm thinking it might be time for a color duplex printer, but nonetheless I think it's important to include an actual manual with things like this. Thanks for the comments. I've been learning a lot lately about how people interpret information and seeing how to make things even clearer in the fu...

Re: First Drive

This. Is. Excellent. Thank you very much for posting, Dustin. By the way, I was just thinking the other day that those plastic junction boxes would make great project boxes.

Re: Live changing input select

Great questions slomobile. I just added a PDF to the design documents: http://skysedge.us/robotics/nearzero/electrical/NearZeroSchematic.pdf -I2C is Arduino pin 26 and hardware pin 74 -CONFIG is Arduino pin 27, hardware pin 73 -PWM is the default state if Arduino pins 26 or 27 are not grounded. -USB...
