Re: I am confused, I think

There are only 11 kits in the wild so far, so every bit of user information is on this forum, and I haven't seen any posted results yet. My unit is currently down needing to rework a battery wire and my day job taking up most of my time at the moment, so I haven't made any headway.

Re: I am confused, I think

I'll take a stab at answering. I believe the lack of replies from anyone is due to everyone waiting for Justine to chime in. I assume her time has been taken up with getting the new official business paperwork and such taken care of and/or time working on getting her pick and place machine back in w...

Re: Build Complete

Mine does the same thing with the missing 'R.'

As far as the picking up only 2 goes, I think the "limit switch" might need to be adjusted so that it engages the cam a bit more and clicks on each rotation.

Build Complete

Despite some setbacks and a few full on fights with glue, I seem to have completed the phone. Few comments: 1: With the manner of how I assembled my dialing assembly, it is possible to press the main board and the daughter board too tightly together and bind up the dialing mechanism, which I was rem...

Re: Missing Parts

Got the filament squared away and ran into a snag getting ready to put the two boards together. I read the step, "Orient the Cam Gear so that the lobe is facing the limit switch’s roller." and thought: wait, what switch? MissingSwitch.jpg So anyway, if you can send me a switch, I'll get it...

Re: Missing Parts

My lame excuse for internet sleuthing has revealed to me that the diameter is likely 1.75mm. However, PTFE filament seems to be a rather specialty product, as the closest thing I found that fits the bill is a PC/PTFE filament that is typically a bit cost prohibitive. So unless there's an approved su...

Re: Received my kit!

Hopefully the attached image is sufficient quality, the forum restricts attachments to 256k so I had to reduce it. I got a good start on my kit, but I had something like 6hours and multiple tries to get the dialer together. Lots of problems with trying to get the spring wound up. When I finally got...

Missing Parts

I know a couple missing parts were mentioned in the "Received my kit!" thread, but if anyone else might be missing things, it can go here! I either didn't get my PTFE filament or lost it. (I'm pretty good at that some days) If anyone would be willing to tell me the diameter of the filament...

Re: Received my kit!

I've been sitting on mine for a week, as I needed to get my work bench cleaned off. Aside from some glue mishaps, it's gone quite well. I've gotten to the governor stage but either I didn't get the PTFE filament or I lost it. If anyone knows the diameter of the filament, it'd help me find a suitable...
